Not many people think about the adjusting tools (also known as activators) that they will be using while practicing chiropractic, but it is an item you should consider investing in.

Adjusting tools are used to deliver a small tap to the spine that will help your patients determine whether they have a subluxation (a misalignment of the spinal bones).

The J-Tech tool is a great way to test out moves and shocks on your patients and see how they react. This tool is also great for gross motor skill development.

7CAT Chiropractic Adjusting Tool Adjuster

Pros:

  • Set an Easy Adjusting Angle w/ a Handgrip
  • Just Loosen the Knob, Apply the Force, and Tighten the Knob
  • Quick, No Angle Markings Needed
  • No Slippage Adjustments

Cons:

  • Prone to Breakage; That’s Why it’s Cheap
  • Easy to Use but Might Require Adjustment Over Time

This is my favorite adjusting tool that I use for my back adjusting tools. I have used a lot of other adjusting tools, but this is the first one that I have used that feels sturdy(not cheap) and durable.

To start off, it feels sturdy because it’s made out of metal, as compared to other adjusting tools which are made out of plastic or stainless steel, which is obviously stronger than plastic. It’s harder than plastic and will not break that easily, but I have heard from others that it can be prone to breaking if you drop it, which is not a big deal, as you can easily replace it with a new one.

9. 6 Levels Manual Forth Heads Spinal Massager

Pros:

  • Small and lightweight
  • Features a durable handle

Cons:

  • Not a lot of features for the price
  • May be too small for individuals with bigger back problems

The 6 Levels Manual Adjusting Tool is great for an affordable adjusting tool. It does the job and is small enough to fit in your bags but is not very feature-rich.

Another thing I noticed is that some people have commented that they are happy with the product but the rubber padding is hard and lacking.

I personally have not bought this product but from what it looks like, it fulfills its purpose.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is the most effective chiropractic technique?

Don’t expect any one technique to be the best. There are many different areas of the human body, and so many different methods of adjusting. There are new techniques being developed and tested regularly, so you never know what might be around the corner.

What is the tool used by chiropractors?

Have you ever noticed those big metal hooks that chiropractors use in their office to adjust your neck and back? While these hooks historically have been used for decades by chiropractors, it’s also a good idea to have one at home.

In the office, the tool is placed over the spine in the bent-over position so that if the patient suddenly straightens up without warning while the adjustment is being done, the tool will pull on the spine to prevent the neck from snapping, which could result in a whiplash injury.

At home, this same tool could be used to provide supplemental traction to your backside, making your bedtime adjustment more effective.

What is Chiropractic Instrument Adjusting?

The main goal of Instrument Adjusting is to break up, crush, and dissolve any calcification or bone spurs from a mis-allignment that has occurred in the spine. In many cases, the spurs can be dissolved and sometimes completely removed.

This is done without the use of manipulation, which means that at no time is the chiropractor manually thrusting you about to get things back to where they were meant to be. There is no spinal manipulation involved at any point in this process. They will use their hands to put pressure on different parts of your spine, but you will not be pulled and twisted around.

How can I adjust myself like a chiropractor?

The simplest explanation involves the effect leverage has on the spine. When you lift an unbalanced weight, your spine will want to adjust itself away from the direction of the incoming force. If you lift something with your right arm, for example, your spine tends to try to shift to the left. Your spine constantly shifts micro-millimeters in this way all day.

This is why when your want to adjust yourself without all the nice tools the chiropractor has, you want to avoid lifting anything directly over your head. As you lift your unbalanced weight, your spine will push forward. Lower the weight behind you down to the ground so that your spine can comfortably move forward without you doing any work.

Conclusion

Technology – Chiropractor Tools, Techniques, and Technologies.

A lot has changed since the early days. Technology has advanced and treatment options have increased, yet the goal still remains the same: improve health and quality of life. This article will provide you with the information needed to know which tools are out there and how they can assist your chiropractor to provide you with the best possible care. Your health is your most valuable asset, and we hope this information empowers you to make informed medical decisions that suit your needs as an individual.
